killed in afghan in suicide bomb atack
Private Nathan Cuthbertson was killed on 8 June, 2008, by a suicide bomber in Helmand Province,
Southern Afghanistan. He was 19.

Pte Cuthbertson was serving as a Machine Gunner and Infantry Assault Engineer with the 2nd
Battalion, the Parachute Regiment..
He was on foot patrol near his Helmand Province base when he died alongside two colleagues - Private
Daniel Gamble and Private Charles David Murray - in a suicide attack.

Your mam and dad, Blaine and Connan are off to Blackpool tomorrow for a 2 para reunion, your dad will see all the men he was in the paras with i think.
Please watch ovr them as they make this journey as the roads have been really bad son, please keep them safe. Your mam and dad have put the house up for sale too, they are finding it really hard to be happy there without you son, you are missed so much. Hope its the right thing for them to do.. They need some happiness in the future and i don't know if or where they can find it.

Hi Nathe., 10 years today since granda cutha died.. how the time has flown by.. Hope he is with you son, doing the things he didn't get to do the last few years. maybe you will be having a drink together, im having one for you both, not a day goes by that i don't think of the two of you.. Thinking of you in a very special way today Nathe, you would have been 20years old but instead you will stay forever young.. The sevice was lovely son, there was such a big turn out for you, can't believe how full the church was and it was all for you. You are so so special to us all, we miss and love you dearly, i just hope you are celebrating up there with your grandad Jonny and grandad Cutha and you can show them how its done..! Hi Nathe thinking of you every minute son wish you were here to celebrate your birthday tomorrow.. We are having a birthday memorial service for you in the minster at 1pm, Some of your friends from your platoon will be there. I am so proud of you son just wish i didn't have to be proud in the way i am then maybe you would be still here. You have absolutely loads of flowers and wreaths on your garden where you sleep. It just shows how many peoples lives you have had an impact on.. everyone misses you so much Nathe, you have left a massive hole in all our lives.
